As spring gives way to summer and the days grow longer, we are pleased to announce that the Winthrop Farmers Market will be returning to French Square in the heart of Winthrop Center starting in just a few weeks!
Our all-volunteer committee has been busy planning the 2016 season and we are excited to unveil an expanded lineup of farms, artists, and vendors. With support from East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, JW’s Restaurant, Highland Real Estate, and the Winthrop Transcript, our upcoming season will have 10 events, running every other Sunday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, on the following dates:
June 19
July 3, July 17, and July 31
August 14 and August 28
September 11 and September 25
October 9 and October 23
The Winthrop Farmers Market provides a unique opportunity for local residents to connect as one strong community, with healthy food, fun crafts, and great music. We will have giveaways, themed markets, and a variety of activities at this years’ market. With the generous support of our community, we were able to provide nearly $2,000 of charitable impact from our events last season – a tradition we hope to continue in 2016!
